Slava Kim is an international medical graduate (IMG). He completed his Residency and post-graduate training in General Surgery and Trauma Surgery. Slava holds a patent on a surgical intra-abdominal irrigation/drainage device invention. Shortly after arriving in Canada, Slava joined Meditech International Inc. and has been working closely with Dr. Fred Kahn, the founder of Meditech Intl. Inc. as the Clinic Director at Meditech Laser Rehabilitation Center since 2003.

Further he’s been actively involved in the Laser Certification Training Course and teaching health care practitioners on the use of the BioFlex Laser Therapy system around the world. Slava is the Clinic’s Laser Safety Officer, Certified Laser Therapy Instructor, also providing clinical support for BioFlex Laser users internationally.

Contributing to the company’s Continuous Education and Training programs as a speaker on various topics of Laser Therapy applications in clinical practice for the variety of medical conditions: pain associated with musculoskeletal pathologies, wound healing, dermatological, sports injuries and trauma, degenerative conditions, headaches and neurological conditions, etc.

More than 4000 health care practitioners have been trained and certified in the past 18 years of Slava’s professional career in the field of Laser Therapy in Canada, USA, Europe, Middle East, South-East Asia, South Africa and Australia.

He was a guest-speaker for the Canadian Diabetic Society on the topic of LILT for patients with Diabetic Complications: Neuropathies and Ulcers; Virginia Academy of Family Physicians; Scleroderma Society of Canada, North American Association for Laser Therapy (NAALT); International Laser Therapy Conferences in Toronto in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011.

Recipient of Dr. Fred Kahn “Award for Excellence in Laser Therapy” in 2008. Nominated for a “Young Investigator” Award by NAALT in 2011. Presented at the 9-th World Association for Laser Therapy (WALT) Congress in Australia on “Application of Laser Therapy for Dermatological Conditions” and “Managing Complex and Recalcitrant Wounds with Low Intensity Laser Therapy”.

Slava is a 2-nd Dan Black Belt Tae Kwon-Do martial artist. He finds special interest in human brain neuroplasticity, spiritual development, mindfulness and meditation, medical fasting. Playing volleyball recreationally. Outside of work he enjoys listening the classical music, learning about the history of civilization and cultures around the world.
